I wonder whether anyone knows whether information is available about Canadian soldiers who went to South Africa to fight with the British in the Anglo-Boer War? I have a theory that at least one of my South African great-aunts may have married a Canadian soldier, and that that was how half my MATTHEWS family (my ggrandparents and 4 of their daughters) ended up in Canada. My great-grandparents went to Canada in 1915, both died in 1917 and are buried in the Old Kildonan churchyard, Winnipeg. For a $5.00 you can search the MGS cemetery transcriptions yourself for her or you can mail them $6.00 along with a SASE and they will search for you.
