    1. [MBWINNIPEG-L] Mabel Secord death record
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Secord Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/mNC.2ACE/1828 Message Board Post: I am seeking information regarding Mabel M. Secord. She emigrated to Winnipeg with her husband, Henry M. Secord in 1890 from North Dakota. We have varying death death dates: Aug. 19, 20 or 29 in 1900 or 1. She was in the 1901 census so we're guessing the '01 must be correct. An affidavit from the cemetery caretaker (in 1918) said she died Aug 29 and was buried in Grand Forks on the 30th (of '00). Would it have been possible to die in Winnipeg and be buried the next day in GF? Does anyone have access to a Winnipeg death records index or is there one online that I haven't found? We requested a death certificate from Manitoba for Aug 20 1901 before we ran across these other dates. They did not find her. She may have died in GF. Help!!!

According to The National Registration File of 1940 his residence was 412 Alexander Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was single and worked as logcutter for Fraser?? Northern Wood, Port Arthur. He died 15.07.1960 in Winnipeg General Hospital, 70 years old. Buried on Brookside Cemetery 22.07.1960. His residence in 1960 was 294 Fountain St. Winnipeg, Manitoba. I don't know which sister your grandmother was, because I only remember one or two coming to visit us in Duluth when I was really young. What was her first name? Do you know anything about the other sisters? Where do you live now? My mom is still living, but is in a nursing home now and doesn't remember much about her aunts. I do know that she adored her dad and would love to know more about his family. Write me when you can. I am new to this message board thing and don't always know if I am sending things to the right place. Send me your email address please. Talk to you soon. Thanks so much for responding! Claudia
