What would this other street be? Are they still there today? Would anyone have access to the Henderson's directory for the late 1930's? I am trying to track the movement of my mother's siblings in this time period and also any mention of a Paterson's Grocery store. Thanks for any help that you can give. Sandy Stokes in Ontario

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mNC.2ACE/1835.2 Message Board Post: Hello Roy, I had my daughter check the Winnipeg Free Press and the Winnipeg Tribune at the University of Manitoba on microfilm for your obit from July 15-22 in 1960 and the obit was not there. The July 17, 1960 Winnipeg Free Press newspaper was not there so maybe the obit might be in that paper. I did find your John Theodorson in my Henderson's City Directory in 1954. He was a laborer for Brown & Rutherford Building Supplies and was c-o same. ( I'm not sure what that means.) Brown & Rutherford Ltd., (established 1872) Commercial and Domestic cabinet work, retail and wholesale Lumber, sash, doors, storm sash and screens, mouldings, timber, baled shavings and all kinds of insulations, roofing & building materials. 5 Sutherland Avenue corner Higgins. Port Arthur is now called Thunder Bay, Ontario so maybe he was married in Ontario. Good luck in your search.
