I am researching the Robert Virtue family. I find that my husband's grandfather Robert Virtue born about 1863 in Enniskillen, Darlington Twp., Durham County, Ontario, at some time after 1887 moved to or near Orillia in Simcoe County but then must have moved to Manitoba by 1898 for I found him listed as postmaster March 1, 1898, to Sept. 17, 1900 as postmaster at Viola Dale in the electoral district of Marquette. I do not know when he moved or when or where he died but most of his children are found in the Carmen, Miami, and Plum Coullee regions farther south. Then I found a Robert Headrick Virtue, a Robert Virtue and a Robert Alexander Virtue under Dominion Land Grants (the first in Twp. 6, Range 9, W3),the second and third the SE and SW parts of Sections 12 and 13, Twp. 33, Range 10, W2. I do not know where these land descriptions are in Manitoba. Is there a site on the Internet which maps out the townships? Can anybody out there help me? I realize I shall have to order the films listing the land grants but is there much information that might relate to genealogy on them? Leah Joys Medicine Hat, AB
