Hi List, When I made my initial query on the list I had no idea there would be such interest in this particular reference that I have. I just received it several days ago. I hope my message on list was not misleading. It is actually a book on cd. The information on the cd is as follows: Manitoba Marriages Mariages du Manitoba 1834-1976 Catholic Churches Paul Lareau and Frere Julien Hamelin 1984 The actual description on the Quintin website is as follows: French-Canadian Vital Records in Manitoba (Parishes: Aubigny, Broquerie, Emerson, Île des Chênes, La Salle, Letellier, Marchand, Morris, Richer, Ross, Sainte-Agathe, Sainte-Anne-des-Chênes, Sainte-Elisabeth, Saint-Eustache, Saint-François-Xavier, Sainte-Geneviève, Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Saint-Malo, Saint-Norbert, Saint-Pierre Jolys, Sainte-Rose-du-Lac, Transcona, Woodridge). CD ONLY. 1,557 pages. I purchased this item from Quintin Publications. There website is: www.quintinpublications.com If there are those who would like me to lookup something I will be most happy to do so. Hope this helps and I hope I was not misleading in what I had. Jeen
Hi Jeen - Thank you for the offer of look-ups for marriages. I would appreciate anything you could find relating to the following: G.uncle John KNOX b. Feb.13,1843 in Pontiac Co. Quebec m. in St. Fr. X. about 1876, Julie Guiboche b. 1858 in RRS, Mb. Archibald KNOX b. 1877; Isabella (Bella) b. 1878 m. on Mar 1, 1892 at St. Laurent Norbert Chaboyer b. 1867; Edward KNOX b. 1879 same place; and Julia KNOX b. 1885 m. Charles LeClerc ca Nov, 1904. I am thinking strongly of buying this CD but at this time it seems a bit pricey and I have to wonder why we are not able to buy this through a Canadian distributor. Have you any ideas about that? Thank you again for your time and trouble.
