Victoria PROVENCHER DISTRICT, MANITOBA CENSUS 1901: HANOVER AND UNORGANIZED TERRITORY Hanover is located in southeastern Manitoba. In the early 1900s, more than half of the residents of this municipality were born in Manitoba, and nearly 800 residents immigrated from Russia. This database lists more than 3,100 residents of Provencher District (#10), Manitoba in 1901, including the following subdistricts: Hanover (D) and Unorganized Territory (K). Residents living in unorganized territory account for approximately 125 names in the database. The database lists each person's full name, relationship to the head of the household, full date of birth, and birthplace, as well as year of immigration to Canada (if not Canadian by birth). It also includes the National Archives film number, division number, page, and family number to help researchers obtain a copy of the actual record, if desired.
