Hi, Alice....I'm also a fiddler.....the Red River Cart is what we Metis people travelled and hauled freight with back in the 1800's. Not to be confused with the Red River Jig, which was and still is a dance. Check this site for more info.. http://www.metisresourcecentre.mb.ca/ There's a picture of a cart on that page..... Hope this helps, John Leclair 225 Winnipeg Avenue North Saskatoon, SK S7L 3P3 306-933-9302 Website: http://www.sasktech.com/john Researching Cree and Metis Fur Trade families: Cook, Constant, Fosseneuve, Brittain, Nault, McPherson. ----- Original Message ----- From: <LewHolt@aol.com> To: <CAN-MANITOBA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, December 10, 2000 1:11 PM Subject: Re: [CAN-Manitoba] Dechamps > Sorry, I don't have any info on your line.
