Stupid question, probably, but where is the Ninette Sanitorium? Ninette? My grandfather, JOSEPH LOCKERIDGE, died of TB in 1907 in Neepawa area, I think. Same one? Different place? Hi Nancy, The Sanatorium was indeed in Ninette. It is south of Brandon while Neepawa is North-east of Brandon. The TB patients were sent there to get plenty of rest, sunshine and fresh air. Perhaps your Grandfather was not diagnosed in time, or perhaps the doctor felt that he would recover quite well in Neepawa..............fresh air & sunshine are abundant there also.
