Posted on: Manitoba, Canada Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/Canada/Manitoba/General/2379 Surname: Welsh, Playfair, Roux, McNeil ------------------------- I found my Welsh family line in the Manitoba Census for 1901 for thirteen family members, five of whom were born in Manitoba, but I'm still looking for earlier census that might have shown the elder Welsh, Edward, b. 1838 in Quebec, with perhaps his father and mother's names as they had immigrated from Ireland to Canada. Also looking for the parents of Sophia Playfair, b. 1841 in Ontario, wife of Edward Welsh. Also searching for information on Emma McNeil, born in Winnepeg, Manitoba, married Charles Adolphus Roux, b. Alsace Lorraine, and had twin girls, Loretta and Louise in 1898 in Portage la Prairie. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Terry tspear@flash.net
