    3. The Ninette Sanitorium doesn't exist as a sanitorium any more but the buildings are used for Pelican Lake Centre a facility for handicapped citizens. This is according to a wonderful book on the sanitorium. "Holy Ground, The Story of the Manitoba Sanatorium at Ninette", David B. Stewart ,1999 Published by J.A. Victor David Museum Inc, Box 584, Killarney, MB Printed by Leech Printing Ltd, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada ISBN: 0-9685548-0-6 It is a history of the sanitorium and TB treatment in Manitoba from the viewpoint of Dr. David B. Stewart who grew up at the sanitorium, where his father Dr. D.A. Stewart was the first medical superintendent. I picked it up in Brandon, Manitoba at McGilligan Booksellers, 707 Rosser Ave. Phone (204) 727-0971 for $18 this summer. The money goes to the museum in Killarney. My interest was from my grandmother-in-law who had worked there in her late teens to earn money to go to high school. She had many fond memories of the place. 3. Many years ago, 40 or 50, there was a T.B. centre connected to the Winnipeg General Hosp. Think it was called the D. A? Stewart Centre. It folded when T.B. seemed to be controlled. Is this the same one you mention?
