Hi Alan - I have been able to access copies of Manaitoba records which are on line for various of the peripheral family members. Are you asking only about those already published or the unpublished? Have you pulled up the copy of the form that is on their website. It shows quite clearly what info they require from you as to relationship, and when I have marked 'cousin' or 'uncle' and indicate I do not know other family members, it has never been questioned. On Death forms where they indicate requiring cause of death I always put the note 'only if not contravening rules of confidentiality' and I have always received the cause of death. This same form is usable for current records but if the person is still living there might be a problem. It only costs $12.00 to obtain the piece of paper which is a photocopy of the actual registration, especially when you already have the number. My dealings with this group has always been very positive. Hope this helps. Are Manitoba Archives records, outside the 80, 90 or 100 year limit, accessible to non-family? If so, is there someone on this list who would be willing to do a look-up of a marriage of Christina Jessie SINCLAIR to Wyman Ernest WESSALS on 14 June 1917 in Winnipeg (Wpg) Reg # 1917,033325. > > Thank you, > Alan Thom > Ontario > > > ==== CAN-MANITOBA Mailing List ==== > CAN-MANITOBA-L Mailing List > http://www.rootsweb.com/~canmb/canmanitoba.htm > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
