I am trying to find and locate any information re the PHILIPSON FAMILY, and inparticular my grandfather Christopher Philipson. He was born January 11th 1878, the son of Robert Philipson and Agnes Wood. His marriage certificate lists place of birth as Ontario but extensive searches there have proved fruitless. Family stories recount that he at one time lived with his parents and grandparents on a small farm outside Winnipeg. Other children of Robert and Agnes were Isobel, Robert and Agnes. Agnes and Isobel are reported to have died from diptheria in theie early teens Robert is supposed to have died 1901? Both Christopher's parents died in the early 1880? and he was reared by his grandmother Philipson and 3 uncles?, brothers of his father. The two younger ones are said to have worked in the early cinema industry in New York. A search of Manitoba Births for the Birth of Christopher have turned in a nil result.
