Hi Don, Where was your Mother-in-law travelling from? The Lake Manitoba Railway reached Dauphin in 1896, but I can't seem to find when it reached Mel. The first grain elevator was opened in 1904, so I would imagine it was sometime around then. Hopefully, some one more knowledgeable will contact you! Hope you find this helpful!
