Alan, I've scanned the Camerons and Campbells in Minnedosa and Neepawa and don't make a connection, neither to Rapid City nor to a Pratt family. However, if the family didn't stay in Minnedosa for some time, enough to be 'called upon' to write a family history in 1983, then they probably aren't included in this history book. Have you found them in the 1881 census yet? He's might be there if he didn't sell his land until 1882. The records for the Minnedosa land titles office are probably house in Neepawa now. You might try that. Or query the museum in Minnedosa and ask them what records they have for Rapid City at that time. And, if you get any more news, please get back to us. Bette
Bette; Thanks for looking up my Campbells. I do have Manitoba land records for them and have found them in the 1881 census. I will let you know if I find anything more.
