    3. I have the book about Nellie McClung by Carol L. Hancock, and will post to the list the answers about Nellie: Nellie Letitia Mooney (Nellie is a nickname for Ellen) was born Oct 20, 1873,Grey County, Ontario, and died at age 77,on Sept 1, 1951, at her home on Lantern Lane,Saanich, (Victoria,) BC. She was the youngest of 6 children and was raised by a strict Scottish Presbyterian mother and Irish Methodist father. The Mooney family moved to Manitoba in 1880 and homesteaded near present day Wawnesa. At age 15 she entered Norman School in Winnipeg (1889) and in 1890 she begins teaching at Hazel School, near Somerset, Manitoba. In 1892 she began teaching at Manitou, Manitoba and boards with the McClung family. In 1896 she married Robert Wesley McClung, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1946. Wes' parents were Anne E. McClung and Rev. J.A. McClung. In 1911 Nellie and Wes moved to Winnipeg, in 1914 they moved to Edmonton, in 1923 they moved to Calgary. In 1935 they moved to their last home in Saanich,(Victoria), BC. Her husband, Wes, died in Saanich at age 86, Nov 1, 1958. This is from the brief overview in the book, there is not much else. But if you check her autobiography "Clearing the West" you might find more information.
