Hi group, I have an ancestor who, according to word-of-mouth, left Ontario and went to Souris, Manitoba. I have no idea when this happened, but I speculate it may have been after 1890. This fellow's name is THOMAS HOWDEN BRYANS and he was born in Port Hope, Ontario in 1856. The last Ontario census I can find him in was 1871 when he was 15, but he could have been in others after that. I was wondering - - is there a kind soul out there who might have a Souris census sitting at their fingertips who might do a look up for me? Trouble is, I don't even have a date, but knowing when he WASN'T listed is almost as important as knowing when he WAS. Also, is there on-line searchable data for Souris? I haven't been able to find anything like that so far, but I'm sure there must be 'something' hiding in a cyber nook or cranny. THANKS! Lynda in Minnesota
