Lynda, For old photographs of Winnipeg streets, try a query to the Manitoba Archives, the U of Manitoba archives (they have an Dept. of Architecture at U of M and so have lots of photos and drawings related to city architecture in the archives I believe), of the City of Winnipeg archives.
