    3. There are local history books for the Douglas and Inglow area. Unfortunately I do not have a copy. The Carberry Library does. both areas are very near Carberry and probably the Carberry News Express is the paper. Carberry also has archives. Penny Shaw the archivist is very helpful. She only works 2 half days a week. She is more than willing to do look ups. They have the Carberry News Express indexed for marriages, obits etc. They have files of pics from the area. The archives is located in the library. Penny can be e-mailed at cparchives@mts.net. When I was there this summer she worked Wed and Thurs. They might have information on Cordova as well. She came to the Inglow area in 1883. Four years later she was united in marriage to John Lawrence when they took up their residence one mile south of Inglow, where they have since lived. With the husband is left a family of five daughters and three sons, namely: Mrs. R. Shea, Browning, Sask; Mrs. Thos. Hanton, Macklin, Sask.; Mrs. Peckover, Sperling, Man.; Mrs. Alex Fraser, Inglow, Man.; James and John at Browning, Sask. and William on the home farm at Inglow. One sister, Miss Hume lives at Cordova and another out west. > The funeral to Madford cemetery on Monday was largely attended by neighbors and friends who held in the highest esteem the deceased and the bereaved family. > The Carberry News Express > June 13, 1935 > > Would Cordova have a local history book that may have Miss HUME in it? What cemetery might she be buried in and can anyone tell me how to contact. What newspaper would have covered that area for an obituary. Hopefully if I can find the obituary for Miss Hume it will give me a lead into the other sister's name.
