Hi. Canada is my homeland. Manitoba is my homeland. I am curious about England and Scotland from whence my ancestors came, but that is all. Hello Nils - I am not certain what it is you are trying to find out but I consider myself Canadian and don't have any desire to be anything else. Canada is where I will always call home. About half of my ancestors are known as Ulster Scots (Scottish implantation of Northern Ireland in the 1600's), and about half are the real thing (Scottish) on a couple of sides. I thank my lucky stars that many generations ago my ancestors had the foresight to make the decisions they did, for whatever reasons, and come here to live. I have a great need to know as much as I can about these people, how they lived etc. and who they are (were). I loved the time spent in Scotland and have a strong desire to visit Northern Ireland but - I am Canadian. hello All, I too, do not know why this is being asked, but my heart says to answer. Since starting family history 5 years ago, I now have a sense of 'identity', and I take great pride in the fact that I consider my homeland to be Ireland. I'm quite sure my grand-father would roll over in his grave to learn what he had fought so hard for in WW1, in the CEF, to see the Canada of today. Thank God he doesn't have to. Just my pittance worth~ Teena
