Hello Barbara, St. James Anglican Cemetery on Tylehurst and St. John's Anglican Cemetery on Anderson were both running in 1894 as were the Brookside Cemetery and St. Mary's Cemetery. I am sure these weren't the only ones. You can go to the Winnipeg cemeteries at http://www.rootsweb.com/~mbwinnip/cemetery.htm and find the address and phone number. If I were you I would wait for the death certificate. I know the death certificates in North Dakota list the name of the cemetery the person is buried in so I'd think the Manitoba death certificate will too. If not when you have his date of death you could try and get the obit since that will tell you what cemetery he is buried in. Thanks so much Karen... I also caught my typo! :-) ... corrected above. I'll be following your suggestions ... using the website AND waiting for the death certificate. I was IN Winnipeg in August but didn't have the death information at that time. I could have explored the cemeteries myself . Instead, I was looking for a marriage and children for Thomas Hay CHAPMAN ... not being aware that he died so young. I do have a contact who will look at the obits when she has time. Much info to come and I appreciate your help.
