Hi, Nicole.....I'm interested in knowing if you have any family history on Elisabeth Bertrand. My great grandmother Mary Bertrand, b. 1871 was from that area, but I know nothing about her family other than her parents were David Bertrand and her mother was Anne McCoy. Mary married Joseph Henri Leclair in Fort Coulonge, PQ in 1895. Any of this sound familiar? Dear Nicole, There was a rather large group of Guenette folk in Kansas and Illinois... one of my relatives lived there and married into the Guenette line (her name was Rebecca Tremblay and she married an Isaac Guenette in about 1870 or so).
