Hi All, I am new to the list and new to Canadian Genealogy. I am wondering if anyone can tell me just what I would expect to find on a Marriage Certificate for a marriage that took place in Manitoba in 1910. Other than the Bride and Grooms names etc, would I find any other relevant information such as parents names etc. Any input most welcome. Regards Sue Perth, Western Australia.
Hello Sue The marriage information should include; the Bride's and Groom's personal information IE Surname, Given name, marital status, DOB, age, and place of birth. Address of residence prior to marriage. and the Bride's and Grooms parents' names and place of birth. Includes the bride's mother's maiden name. Name of the person who married them and denomination. Sometimes the witnesses are also included. Go on Manitoba Vital Statistics searchable database and you should get a hit.
