Hi Bette: Thanks for the information on Elizabeth McGOWAN. I have heard from several other people as well and I thank you all very much for this information. As it turns out, I think the McGOWAN family lived in the Rural Municipality of Louise, so it is quite possible Elizabeth was in hospital in Winniped and died there. I have a few more details to discover, such as where the family was in the 1891 census. David died in May 1901 so he ;probably isn't in that census.
