I'm looking for the birth place and parents of Myrtle Laura Shier, born 3 July 1885, daughter of Unknown Shier and Unknown Brezee. Also looking for birth place of Helen Laura Simons, daughter of Myrtle (above) and Robert Francis (or Franklin) Simons, born 13 Nov 1908. Myrtle was supposed to have been born in Canada, but I don't know a specific place. I'm assuming Manitoba because she married Robert F. Simons who was born and lived near Cavalier, Pembina County, ND, USA. Robert's parents, John H. and Elizabeth Simons had previously lived in Canada, having moved there from Pennsylvania. Since I have been unable to find Robert & Myrtle on the 1910 or 1920 censuses in the US, I thought it possible that they were then living in Canada, although they later moved to the US. I'm new to the search in Canada (I live in Oregon, USA), so would appreciate any help or suggestions anyone might have.
