    3. >From the Oak River Post, Oak River, MB (now changed to The Blanshard-Harrison-Strathclair Post, Newdale, Man.) 11/1/1939 MARGARAT ANN MOFFATT The funeral took place Tuesday, Nov. 14 from her late residence, of Margart Ann, wife of Thomas C. MOFFATT of the Marney district, who passed away on Sunday after a long illness at the age of 72 years, eight months and two days. Deceased was born at Stratford, Ont., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert HOGARTH and had been a resident of the Strathclair district for 56 years. The service was conducted by Rev. G. A. COLPITTS, pastor of the United church, Strathclair, and a cortage of 28 cars followed the casket to the Strathclair cemetery where interment was made in the family plot. The casket was covered with numerous beautiful silent tributes to the affection in which the deceased was held. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters: Mrs. H. O. BROWN of Dysland, Alta.; Mrs. A. J. NORDLUND of Watertown, Mass., U.S.A.; Mrs. J. F. BALDNER of Winnipeg, and Mrs. F. W. CHURCH of Strathclair; four sons, Bert of Rapid City, Reg and Walter of McConnell, and Alston at home; one brother, W. R. HOGARTH, Winnipeg; two sisters, Mrs. T. E. ADAMS, Winnipeg, and Mrs. Robert CRAIG, Elphinstone, also 36 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. ===================== 11/16/1939 Mrs. (Rev.) William T. BRADY (Bessie MOSSOP) died at the family residence, 572 Maryland St., Winnipeg, Nov. 10, aged 47. The funeral was held at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 13 to Brookside cemetery. Rev. W. T. BRADY was formerly United church minister at Oak River. R. H. DENNISON, formerly of Newdale, was one of the pall-bearers. ========================== 11/16/1939 THOMAS HENRY ENGLISH The funeral of Thomas Henry ENGLISH, who died in Winnipeg Nov. 8 after two weeks in hospital, took place Friday afternoon from Newdale Union church to Newdale cemetery. Rev. W. P. SMETHERAM officiated. The bearers were Messrs. GRIFF, Thos. and Dave DAVIES, Hampton GREENAWAY, Ben SETH and Thos. FRASER. Mr. ENGLISH was born at Guelph, Ont., Dec. 25, 1865. He married Miss Myrtle BLODGETT over forty years ago. Coming west about 25 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. ENGLISH homesteaded in the North Mount Calm district, where they remained until 1921, when they moved to Vancouver. Following Mrs. ENGLISH's death in 1932, Mr. ENGLISH returned to the Newdale district until 1936, when he moved to Winnipeg, returning to Newdale for frequent visits. Surviving are five sons and four daughters; Tom, Oran, Jim, ARt, Mrs. Allan BROWN, Mrs. A. MARTIN and Mrs. Stewart COUTTS, Newdale, Charles, Solsgirth, and Mrs. W. SANDSTROM, Minnedosa. ======================================= 11/9/1939 (Oak River - E. A. CORBETT, correspondent) The funeral of Mrs. Martha Hampton GREENAWAY, 79 widow of Robert GREENAWAY, took place at Gilbert Plains Nov. 1, Rev. Hislop DICKSON officated. Serving are one daugher, Mrs. Jack ALLEN, Kenville; six sons, Joseph, Gladstone, Stanley, Cameron, Alta; Irwin, Gilbert Plains; Clayton, Kenville; Gordon, Winnipeg; Ernest, Roblin. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. ROGERS and Mr. and Mrs. Percy ROWSE of Winnipeg and Mrs. Victor ROWSE of Melville visited at the MORCOM home for several days recently and attended the funerals of Mr. and Mrs. MORCOM sr. Mrs. Thos. AIREY, old-timer of the Lothair distrcit, passed away at Brandon Sunday, aged 72. The funeral was held at rivers tuesday afternoon. ====================================== 11/9/1939 Mr. and Mrs. A. MC INTYRE received word Tuesday of the death at Sheridon, Ont., of their niece, Mrs. Millie MCINTYRE. The funeral will take place at Minnedosa Friday. ===================================
