For those of us in Ontario who are researching the MATTICE family, it has been both exciting and encouraging to be contacted by a descendant of JOHN MATTICE through this Manitoba site. The original query, re-posted below, concerned a descendant of William Mattice. Both John & William were two of Johann Nicholas II Mattice's sons! A descendant of WILLIAM MATTICE: Looking for data about Herbert Theron SMYTH, born July 8, 1910, who married Janet Elliot Kyle on July 10th, 1944, resided perhaps in the area of Brandon or Oak Rivers.
