Robert Campbell, fur trader, born on Feb 21 1808 at Glenlyon, Perth, Scotland; died May 9, 1894 on the Merchiston Ranch, near Riding Mountain, Manitoba. Campbell spent his life in the service of the Hudson's Bay Company (1830-71); he was an early explorer of the Yukon.
