Hello, I am new to this list and I am hoping that someone living in Brandon will be able to help me. I have been trying for years to find out where my great grandmother is buried. Family legend has always said it was in Saskatchewan but now I have a small clue. She and her family left England in 1909 for Canada. She died in either 1912 or 1913 and I now have an address where her husband was living in 1918. It was 331 - 10th Street, E Brandon. Is there anyone on the list who could tell me anything about that address? Is it still there? Does it give a clue to where she might have been buried nearby? If anyone can help, I will send the details. I know it is possible to get the death record but at the moment I do not know whether to apply to Sask or Manitoba. As I am in England it is difficult to get information. I should be so very grateful if anyone could help me. Thanks, Jane
Jane: I'm sure that some kind soul in Canada, familiar with Saskatchewan and Manitoba records, would be willing to help - but you'd better tell people your great-grandmother's NAME!! Who was she? You may get a few gently teasing replies, but don't be embarrassed. Happens all the time.
