    3. John William Laird is listed in the City Directory as a CPR conductor and living at 231 - 11th Street but not found after 1925. I did not find them in the Cemetery Index. At 60 +, they could have been transferred or retired and moved away. At that address was Jennie, a teacher and Olive. There were no listings for Glenwright. There are phone listings for Lairds in Brandon and are available through Canada 411. Let me know if there are other things I could look at. I'm trying to locate either a living relative or perhaps the resting place of any or all of my Glenwright rellies...Dorothy Ann being the last of that generation to locate (her brother Thomas Foster Glenwright was my g-granddad). > I believe they were all Methodists in 1906, perhaps there's a burial ground that would be the choice of that denomination in Brandon. > Any help would be appreciated. > Thanks again > John Tracy > Victoria, B.C. > > > ==== CAN-MANITOBA Mailing List ==== > Manitoba GenWeb Project > http://www.rootsweb.com/~canmb/ > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >

    3. Thanks Dan; Could one assume then that by 1925 Dorothy Laird had passed away, Thomas and Rosie had left home? I found a Wm. Laird passing away in Vancouver, but no Dorothy. The age of Wm. at time of death is about right. I'm going to ask some kind soul to look up his death cert for me to see if he's my Laird. I really don't know where else to look. But I will keep at it.
