I too have a copies of heritage books and am willing to do lookups: I have the ones for Neepawa, Minnedosa, Eriksdale, and "They Stopped at a Good Place" which includes Beausejour, Brokenhead, Garson & Tyndall areas. I'm not surprised you couldn't get the book in Neepawa. They were only printed once in the 1980's, and almost by order. From what I can find, almost all heritage books are only available through secondhand book stores. In fact, many stores don't even like to carry these books because they are hard to market, except through the internet. I found the one on Beausejour in a tiny town on Vancouver Island and snatched it up because it only cost $10 and I figured that sooner or later someone would want it. Cheers, Bette
Hi Bette - I would much appreciate lookups of any families named KNOX; YUILL; or STEWART. My families are all over Manitoba so it is sometimes hard to pin down a particular district. I note your info about the history books and I have also been told that there is no market. They are such a gold mine of information when we don't yet have the 1906 census. I am not skilled enough with a computer to set up a site (or I would do)which would offer to list these books and the contact person for such. I hate to see them ignored at garage sales and then ultimately taken to the dump.
