Hello Eva, I have an old atlas page that shows Assiniboia. I don't have a date on this page but it shows Manitoba and to the west of that Assiniboia. Assiniboia starts on the west of the Manitoba border and goes all the way to Alberta. North of Assiniboia is Saskatchewan. To the north of Saskatchewan is Athabasca. They are all on this map referred to as the Northwest Territories. I don't see the town you're looking for on my map but I'm sure it is the one you think it is.
