It is for the Legislative Library in Winnipeg and they have microfilm copies of many old newspapers. Seeing as you have the date of death you can ask them to look up and copy the obit if there is one Joseph Dale. They charge $5.00 which if very minimal I think. They will look through a month of you aren't sure of the date but won't try it if you are too vague on details - like he died in 1906 nothing else. They copied one for me last year and I had it within a little over a week of contacting them. Great service.
