    3. Hello Carol, No Bamber or Downings. There is a Robert Gardiner. Says numerous families came in 1897 from Ontario. The Webster, Gardiner, Anderson, Bell and Boyce families came together. In 1899 Robert Gardiner became the first weed inspector for the Brunkild area. No other information is given for him. I don't know if you're interested in these Downings (1) Joseph from Owen Sound Ontario (2)Norman (3) George, son of Joseph but their stories are in the book "Footsteps Through The Years" and there is a volunteer Roy Nicholl who is in the lookups section of the Manitoba GenWeb and has this book. Good luck, Karen >From: CAROL LAMBERSON <[email protected]> >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: [email protected] >Subject: Re: [CAN-Manitoba] book "Hugging the Meridian" Macdonald municipal >history >Date: Fri, 3 Jan 2003 15:26:23 -0800 (PST) > > >Would you look for Downings as well as Bamber and Gardiner.
