Hello Coralynn, The Provincial Archives of Manitoba http://www.gov.mb.ca/chc/archives/index.html has land records, townships plans, maps etc. and you can email them. Their site says "staff can do a limited research for persons unable to visit the archives in person." Hope it works out.
