I am researching the Johnson family and other surnames as they enter the family tree. Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck with the Johnson line. I know that my grandfather, James JOHNSON was born July 21, 1871 in Ontario. He died Feb. 21, 1948 in Port Edward, B.C. while visiting his daughter, my aunt. He and his wife Stella Lillian (Briggs) lived in Binscarth(on), Manitoba when they were first married. I don't know if they were married in Manitoba or Ontario. They had three children: Edith Lillian b. Mar. 28, 1910, Verna Estella (my mother) b. May 24, 1912, James Gordon b. Dec. 19, 1913. About 1920, the family moved to Chilliwack, B.C. James had two brothers and possibly a sister. The brothers' names were John (Jack) married Ettie ?, Archibald married Lily Snyder (they had 3 boys). That is all the info I have and hope that someone can help by adding to it. Shirley
