    3. One major WW2 training field I know of was McDonald, near Portage la Prairie. It was a gunnery school. There was another base called Southport at Portage as well. Winnipeg was and still is a large base. Churchill was also a minor training site. Shilo was an Army base as was Rivers, although Air Force personnel were stationed there. Have you contacted the Dept. of Defense?
