YOu can find these at http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/02010602_e.html Hmmm. maybe this isn't right because Harry & this William would be b. only 8 months apart. There wasn't must to log around Wpg, unless they went to as far as Ontario or out to somewhere close to Riding Mountain National Park, I would think. Bette

I absolutely agree with you about this. My ancestor, Tom HALL had the first home built in Riding Mountain. Several of his family members were involved in logging on the "mountain." "Kelwood Bridges the Years" has pictures. On pg 16, Jim Mason's saw mill west of Kelwood. On pg 22, Joe Williams and his brother Alonzo hauling wood (with two-horse teams). Also on pg 16, it mentions Joe Hall as being one of the team owners. It also mentions Poole Bros. having a birch cord wood camp. Moses Poole, father of Timothy, was also one of my ancestors. Page 15 tells us that in the early days logging was the main industry in the area, and remained so for over three decades (through the "Dirty Thirties." tricia
