Looking for burial place of Frederick Edgar Nex, killed near Shelley, Manitoba, 20th November 1913. He is not buried in Whitemouth, but the RM of Whitemouth paid for his funeral expenses, but do not have any record of where he is buried. If anyone lives in this area, would they be able to find the nearest cemetery where he could be buried? We have been to Whitemouth, and also checked the cemeteries in Winnipeg with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Also looking for information on Mr. Winterton who was married to my grandmother, Margaret Bailey. His parents had a restaurant in Winnipeg in the early 1900's, and two sisters living at home. Mr. Winterton worked as a newspaper reporter and died about Jan/Feb 1910 (his son was born in May 1910 and I was told that Mr. Winterton had died 4 months before my uncle was born). Looking for his first name, and parents name, and any other information on the family. thanks, Margaret

Felix HENRY died in St. Boniface Hospital in December 1928. I obtained the Manitoba death registration record and it indicated that his remains were donated to the Medical College. I contact them and their records do not indicate where the remains were interred. So far the hospital has not been able to assist me. Any suggestions as to where his remains may be located would be appreciated. I do not know if there was an obituary notice placed in the local papers or not as his family no longer lived in the Winnipeg area. Thanks! Heather
If you live near a Canadian university library or archives, there may be copies of Bruce Baden Peel's Bibliography of the Prairie Provinces microfiche collection. This is a major reference work for Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. This includes copies of city directories up to 1953 for the main cities of the prairies. You can check online university library catalogs with searching by title, Peel bibliography. Nancy Manitoba GenWeb Coordinator Manitoba Boards Admin __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Just want to remind people that if they have Obits that would interest Quebec researchers but don't want to subscribe to the CAN-QC-OBITS-L@rootsweb.com list... You can send them directly to me and I will post them Those wishing to subscribe I would advise to do so in DIGEST mode because it generates a lot of email. To subscribe... send a blank email with ONLY the word SUBSCRIBES in the Subject line to CAN-QC-OBITS-D-request@rootsweb.com (digest mode) CAN-QC-OBITS-L-request@rootsweb.com (list mode)
The Quebec Obits list has had over 8500 postings since May 2004 with over 40,000 obituaries and is growing by leaps and bounds. It is a very busy list. Many users have found it too busy to subscribe. I want to remind you that you can search the Archives of the list at http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/?list=CAN-QC-OBITS

I am hoping to find a newspaper obit for James Cameron who passed away in Portage la Prairie on February 17, 1926 and his wife Emma who passed away Sept. 22, 1927. I am also interested in finding out if their headstones have anything on them. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Many thanks! Michael Victoria, BC
