Could this hospital in Neepawa have been called Dynevor? I have pictures from mid 1930's of a hospital that I'm sure are from somewhere close to Minnedosa. Jud, I have a copy of most of the 1891 census for Neepawa but it is not yet online (that I know of). Yes, there was a hospital in Neepawa in 1897 - probalby the same one that's still there, although needless to say they have made additions. I still don't know it's 'proper' name because all the years I was there it was simply known as "The Neepawa Hospital." There is only one and, I expect, anything address to: Neepawa Hospital Neepawa, MB (you'll have to look up the postal code online - or use anything even remotely close) will get there. In other words, there is only one post office in town and everyone at the post office knows which postal box belongs to the hospital. BDM after civil registration would be with Vital Statistics for Manitoba. Neepawa wasn't settled until about 1883 so I expect nearly all BDM would be registered with Vital Stats in Winnipeg. We are trying to locate people from neepawa living there about 1897. Is there a census record for this area about this time?? Was there a hospital in Neepawa in 1897??
