    1. [CAN-Manitoba] Petrini family of St. Pierre Jolys
    2. Lise Boissonneault
    3. Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anybody had any information regarding the Petrini family that lived in St. Pierre Jolys in 1905. I just found out that my great great uncle William James Sangster was raised by that family and married Yvonne Delagrave. I'm assuming that the marriage did not work out since William left to go to Quebec in 1907 while his wife stayed with her father. If anyone could help me, I would really appreiciate it! Lise

The MacDONALD family moved from Wawanosh, Ontario, probably in the 1860's and farmed in the Brandon area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wally Whiteside

    1. [CAN-Manitoba] Question from Listowner
    2. Phyllis Haynen
    3. I have a question that I would like to ask everyone on the list. What Region are you researching for your ancestors? As the Manitoba GenWeb Coordinator, this will help me to decide where I should be emphasizing my efforts on the Manitoba GenWeb project. The Manitoba GenWeb Regions web page is located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~canmb/regions.htm Each web site has the towns listed. If you don't see the town, tell me the town. I'll find the Region. We have 80+ subscribers on this list. Please e-mail me directly, e-mail: phaynen@gte.net with your Region. I will post a message with the results to the list. I think this will be interesting. And if anyone is interested in volunteering as a Regional GenWeb coordinator, please contact me. 3. Hello, Ref: Frederick Webster I have finally found a copy of my great-grandfather's obituary from the 1928 Winnipeg Tribune. It states that his funeral was held under the auspices of the D.S.C.R. - does anyone know what that means? Also, In a newspaper article relating to the death of my grand-father's sister in Winnipeg in 1924, it talks about the G.W.V.A. and the G.A.U.V. - again, I don't know what these stand for - any ideas? Appreciate all replies. John Jps2000@attcanada.ca

Does anyone on the list no someone who lives in Kenora who would be willing to go to the library for me and look up Miner & News microfilm for the years 1919, 1920, 1921. I do not think there would be many issues for each year or a very thick paper. With this in mind, I hope it would not be a large task. I would be more than willing to pay someone to do this, make a copy or have it scanned into a computer and sent to me by e-mail etc. Sincerely, Noreen RESEARCHING UKRAINE>CANADA SURNAMES: KRUTZ/KRUST/KRUTS HRUTS/HRUSCYK/HRUSHAK KORMYLO/CORMYLO/KORMELO PETRUNIAK ANTONIAK

    3. Hi Is there a city directory for Winnipeg in 1927? A relative (Joseph RANDALL) died in 1927, obituary lists a brother Burt RANDALL living in Winnipeg at that time. No other record of such a brother. However brother Austin C RANDALL is not mentioned in the obit, yet was alive at the time. Was he in Winnipeg? Was Burt? Any help? Ideas? Nicki
