Hi, Delores: We have a Annie DUMMA (born bef. 1905) in our family who married Andrew McCUBBIN. They lived in Selkirk, Scotland. They later came to Canada and settled in Oakville, Ontario. They had three sons and one daughter. Frank, Elizabeth (Betty) , Robert (Bob), and John Frank married in England to Doris ? during World War 2. Betty married Donald Gilbert from Bronte, Ontario. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters. Bob married and is believed living in Edmonton, Alberta. John married Millie ?. They had one son and one daughter, (Ted and Sharon). Ted married and Sharon married and went to Alaska. Hope this is some help to you. It probably isn't even the same family, but if you don't try, you'll never find anything out. Happy Hunting. Well I'm not sure if this is the best way, but in my short time in doing family research I have found that with a name and death date I have found out from 2 cemeteries here information I needed. I'm sure there are other ways, but calling is pretty straight forward and the worse they can say is "no can't help" . I would be happy to give it a try for you. I am new to this group, and therefore I would like to make my interests known - or at least a couple of them. HODGSON / BROWN is my family - Manitoba beginnings in the Manitou, Kaleida, Darlingford area. A couple of the families i will start with are BARRETT / TEMPLEMAN / BANNISTER / KIRKHAM Eleanor BARRETT married SAMUEL SAMPSON BROWN. What I know about them is they lived in Darlingford after they married, where their first three children were born - on the D. ANDERSON farm. FLORENCE MAE born 13 July 1881, FREDERICK DAVID, born 11 March 1883 and OLIVER WILLIAM born 12 Oct. 1886. When they moved from Darlingford they went to Ontario. When Samuel died they were in Durban (Swan Lake) Manitoba. I would like to know who she is ....... who are her parents ......... who are her siblings. Second: TEMPLEMAN - George, married AGNES ELIZABETH BROWN. I know George died 20 March 1943. They had 2 children - both died as tiny babies of TB. Agnes Elizabeth Born 1882 died 1903 and George Ellis born 1889 died 1890. Who were George's dates, parents, siblings LILLIAN KIRKHAM - married David William Brown 1914 LILLIAN BANNISTER was David' Williams mother. If there is a MOORE out there who's family originated in Newfoundland and settled in Manitou, I would like to hear from you. There is a MOORE in Newfoundland who is looking for you. My name is Gladys Helen, but I like to be called Helen Helen

Hi Gail - and all kind souls I am looking for information about a great-uncle. According to another g-uncle's obit, he was in Winnipeg in 1927, and is named Bert RANDALL. However, none of the brothers were really named Bert, it is a nickname. The only brother it could have been is Austin C RANDALL. Is there a city directory for that time? Austin C was born in Ontario, moved to Duluth, became a naturalized American citizen. I would like to know if he was actually in Winnipeg, and, just generally, what happened to him until he died in 1947. Thanks for any help you can give - or any ideas for further research. I am new to this listing. I am researching the Ross and Rock families in Manitoba. My father Kenneth David Rock was born in Winnipeg on 8/18/1916 to Charles David and Dorothy Georgina Ross Rock. His sister Marguerite Joy Rock was born 11/14/1919 in St. Thomas, Ontario. Charles David Rock was born 9/29/1889 in Ridgetown, Ontario, to Charles and Charlotte Maria Bourne Rock. Charles and Charlotte Bourne Rock were both born in Ontario. Dorothy Ross Rock was born 6/17/1894 in Winnipeg to Donald and Jessie Mae Hallies (or Hallous or Hollis) Ross; she had 6 other sisters and perhaps 3 brothers. Donald and Jessie Hallies Ross and their daughters Jessie Mae and Elizabeth Blackburn Ross were all born in Dundee, Scotland, and came to Canada between 1888 and 1894. Any assistance would be appreciated. My email is mscaleb@texas.net. Sharon Shumate Austin, TX
Hi Gail, I just saw a message where you said that you would look up cemetery info for something. I am being a bit presumptious that you would do the same for me. If you would rather not I will understand. Maria Rosina "Rose" Denning born 19 Dec 1886 in England and died 6 Aug 1887 in Winnipeg. I would like to know where she is buried and also if there is an obituary. If there are any expenses I will gladly pay that.
