    3. Hi all, I was working my way through my most recent pile of catalogs today and noticed that Exposures catalog had on line advice about protecting, preserving, and restoring photographs. Keeping in mind that they're trying to sell their products, the pages were, nevertheless quite informative. To see what tips they offer, here's the link: http://www.exposuresonline.com/cgi-bin/sgdynamo.exe?HTNAME=_safe.htm&UID=2000114001250188 I've never purchased anything from this catalog, so this is hardly an endorsement. Just thought the information might be worthwhile to someone. 2. DW
    3. Dear Nicole, I too have Gennette (Guenette) ancestors... My ggrandfather's sister Rebecca Tremblay married an Isaac Gennette. Rebecca was born in Quebec, however the marriage took place in Kansas. There is a very large Gennette family there all descending from French lines. Perhaps you might want to check out the list for this to see if there is a connection with your immediate line. The three lists that are concerned with the French in Kansas and Illinois are: ILFORD-L@rootsweb.com KSCLOUD-L@rootsweb.com ILSTANNE-L@rootsweb.com All three lists can be joined through rootsweb. I know it may seem like a large migration to bring the family back to Manitoba but it was done as my ggrandfather Maurice Tremblay moved his family from Cloud County, Kansas to Saskatchewan and then into the Yukon before choosing to move onto Montana and then Washington State. He couldn't stay out of Canada though and ended up in Millardville, BC. (a French community near New Westminster - Vancouver). 3. Dear Nicole, There was a rather large group of Guenette folk in Kansas and Illinois... one of my relatives lived there and married into the Guenette line (her name was Rebecca Tremblay and she married an Isaac Guenette in about 1870 or so). If your interested or there could be some sort of a connection then please contact me... Maximin GUENETTE m. Elisabeth BERTRAND on 22 Aug 1875, L'Orignal, Ont. They settled in St-Jean-Baptiste, Man. and raised 14 children. I'm interested in having all the descendants of that family. Does anyone have a history book of that town and can someone photocopy the Guenette family history and mail it to me at: Nicole DESCOTTES; Box 207; Craven, Sask.; S0G 0W0 My thanks to the genealogy angel that can help me. P.S. I'm fluent in French and English. __________________________________________________________ Get your FREE personalized e-mail at http://www.canada.com ==== CAN-MANITOBA Mailing List ==== Visit the Canada GenWeb Project http://www.rootsweb.com/~canwgw/ See the Resources and Projects ============================== Join the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: Linking the world, one GEDCOM at a time. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com
