Phyllis, I have just posted a message to the List, which I hope is not inappropiate. I am trying to help other researchers to find their family, as others have helped me in mine. If it is not, please, let me know. Thank you. Hello June Unfortunately, in Manitoba there is no info available on line except by contacting a researcher; as I have had to do that with 12 of my relatives who were in Manitoba & are buried there. Again, I might be wrong in stating that but that is what I had to do. If you wish there is a web site-I think Manitoba Archives but again ask somene on the net or on the Manitoba List; I found it & here is the web site- http://www.gov.mb.ca/chc/leg-lib/index.html Here is a lady's e-mail address who had completed the info that I required for me; I hope I am not overstepping my boundaries by suggesting this but here goes; her name is Bonnie Bridge E-mail Address(es): [email protected] Bye for now. Hi Jerry! You may be able to find your information on the Manitoba Genealogy Society...they have a tremendous collection plus addresses, etc. to other sites in Manitoba. I've worked with them, both in person and by email, several times and they are tremendously helpful folks! The 'address' is slightly confusing....I simply used the following, but on Google, not AOL Manitoba Genealogical Society and got right to the opening page. They have numerous listings by groups, towns, religion, etc. etc. They're locaated in Winnipeg and if you want their address it's Manitoba Genealogy Society ` 1045 St. James Street Unit A Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada R3H 1B1 Good luck!! Barbara (formerly from NW Minnesota!) Any questions? My email is [email protected]

Hi Everyone I am a 26 year old, Genealogist based in Oxford, UK. I am trying to track the family of my Grandfathers first Cousin Elizabeth Speare who married Charles B Mitchell and went to live in Denver. It has also been said that Elizabeth (Betty) could have ended up in California. I have also been told that she had at least one child. Elizabeth was born on 20th June 1912 in Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada her full name was Elizabeth Mary Speare. She is the daughter of William Henry Speare (24/08/1888- November 1962) & Mary Jane Rogers (Died 1919). During the First World War Elizabeth was living in the UK with her brother William known as Bill (24/08/1915-31/05/1999) they spent some of the time with their Mothers family in Helmshore, Lancashire & some in Torquay, Devon. Their Mother died during a Flu Epidemic in 1919 and the Children were sent back to Winnipeg to join their father and his new wife Elizabeth Gillies/MacColl. There was another Child born Clifford Speare (16/07/1920 - 22/04/1997). The family later moved from Winnipeg to Chicago. Does any one have access to any Address directory for Denver in the 1950s & 60s. I would love to know if their are any Charles Mitchell's listed. I have a business address for Charles Mitchell Charles B. Mitchell Insurance Adjuster 858 Gas and Electric Building Denver 2, Colorado I have some Photos of Elizabeth when she was younger if that would help clarify who she is. Elizabeth would be 90 now and based on the age of some of her female cousins could still be alive. Does anyone know how I can track down Elizabeth or her siblings? I have a copy of her Birth Certificate. I would also love to hear from any one who knows of links to the Speare Family. Regards Thomas Peeke Ps I am sending this email to all the Mailing lists that cover the areas linked to the Speare family in the hope that someone may be able to help -- Thomas Peeke

My great grandparents marriage date is the 26th of Feb., 1884 and I'm hoping if I can get this certificate, it can tell me their birth places and who their parents were. Also, any informtaion on how to order, if it is available. Thanks so much, Judy Blackfalds, Alberta [email protected]
