    3. I totally agree with Ron Davies about this list. I grew up in MB and have always been very proud of it. But when it comes to genealogy they are the pits. I have found BC to be so good. BDM free at the libraries (certain libraries) MB charges the heck out of you for everything and you get nothing compared to the BC BDM registrations. Come on we're all in this together. Coralynn

    3. Phyllis, I'm sorry but I totally agree with the other dissenters and I, too, thought of unsubscribing. To do so would only be hurting myself but if this narrow-mindedness continues, I will unsubscribe. I belong to 20+ lists and few if any have as little activity as this one nor are any as restrictive. Keep this up and nobody will want to belong. Genealogy knows no borders and we are all in this together: helping hands helping others. Most certainly Quesnell is in BC but please don't berate a user for making an honest mistake. I have relatives/ancestors from and in many countries and I include our Maritime provinces, Ontario and all four western provinces. In not one have I ever read such a restrictive attitude. I now hesitate to ask about my ancestors born and perhaps married in Manitoba lest SKS might fear to respond as they all went over the border to Saskatchewan, south to the Dakotas and Montana and other parts of the the US west and into Alberta and BC. You have stated your position directly. We are owed like opportunity. Sent without malice. 2. Shelley
    3. Phyllis Unsubscribe me I agree with Larry, there is great opportunity to open this list up. It is for the purpose of genealogy is it not? Genealogy is not confined to provincial boundaries but obviously your mind is not open to new possibilities or in assisting those looking for family and I choose to not be part of such archaic thinking.

    3. I tend to agree with Larry on this. Although I am new to this list, I have long experience with many others. Surely we must operate in a spirit of generosity. Genealogy benefits greatly from information sharing. As long as no one is passing along spam, chain letters or personal comments, I am very content.
