    3. Hello Raynona, Minnedosa is in the westman region of the province 210 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg at the junction of Provincial Trunk Highway 10 and the Yellowhead Highway 16. There's a great web site at Multimap.com that would show you where this is. Basswood is only about 20 km north west of Minnedosa. I checked the two most recent library books I have and those names weren't in there. 3. http://www.gov.mb.ca/chc/leg-lib/ll_newspapers.html Hello Pat, Happy New Year If you don't get an answer to your look-up request check out the above site. It is for the Legislative Library in Winnipeg and they have microfilm copies of many old newspapers. Seeing as you have the date of death you can ask them to look up and copy the obit if there is one Joseph Dale. They charge $5.00 which if very minimal I think. They will look through a month of you aren't sure of the date but won't try it if you are too vague on details - like he died in 1906 nothing else. They copied one for me last year and I had it within a little over a week of contacting them. Great service. 3. Hi Karen: Thanks for the help and information. I will be visiting Winnipeg next week and plan to visit the cemeteries and the Mb. Archives in the hope of connecting some dots in the search for ancestors. Once again, thanks for your assistance and your commitment to assisting so many of us trying to trace our ancestors in Manitoba. 3. Hello Susann, The city of Winnipeg has three searchable cemeteries online now, Transcona, St. Vital and Brookside. Their web site is http://www.city.winnipeg.mb.ca/ppd/cemetery_search.stm. I found 3 men named John RITCHIE buried there. One died on 10 September 1927, one on 15 July 1940 and one, John Tugh, on 18 October 1951. Two are military graves.
