    3. Thanks Jeen. I (and other people) had never heard of this particular resource. Quintin keeps coming out with more and more stuff. They are a great resource. Thanks again, (and I wish I had Catholic family back then, because the Anglican's won't allow anything like that CD). ===== Lynton (Bill) Stewart Metis, Scots and English Ancestry, Loyalist and Patriot, USA and Canadian. 3. Hi Folks: Does anyone have the transcript for Pine Falls Cemetery? I am looking for any PATTERSON family members who are listed. I have an obit for Mary Ann Patterson who died Feb. 8, l947 which indicates that she was buried there and that her husband is still living. Her husband was William J. Patterson, I am looking for his date of death. Also there was a son Charles Louis Patterson, most likely he would be buried there. I'm also wondering if there is a local history book for the area, which is the R.M. of Alexander, apparently they settled there in the early l900's. He lived in Finland (that time part of Russia) in 19th century. his family originated from Central Europe. I have recearched the origin of this rare surname. (Warzaba, Warzabo, Warzabu, Warsaba, Warsabo). Some of my ggrandfather's descendants immigrated to America about 1900, but i do not know where. I found via "google" "Manitoba pioneers" list and there the name "Warsaba". Is there on this list somebody who does know the history of Warsaba family in Manitoba? I appreciate all information. 1. [CAN-Manitoba] Thomas SEENS - Roden Postmaster 1887-1888
    2. Jeff and Melinda
    3. Does anyone have information on Thomas Seens and family. Thomas is shown as the postmaster for Roden, Brandon from March 1, 1887 to April 13, 1888, according to the Canadian National Archives. The name SEENS is very difficult to trace. There was a Thos. Seens in Otonabee, Peterborough East, Ontario in the 1871 census, who was 40 years old, or born about 1831. This may be the same Thomas Seens later found in Manitoba. There was a George H. Seens in Brandon, MB in the 1901 census who was born in 1865. He could have been a son of this Thomas Seens. This George H. Seens had his widowed mother living with him, June (possible Jane), who was born in 1836 in Ireland, who could have been the wife of Thomas Seens. If anyone has anymore information on this family, I would appreciate hearing from you. Best regards, Melinda

    2. Hi folks, I am new to this list. I am researching my McAmmond and Pull ancestors, most of whom moved into various parts of Manitoba in the early 20th century. However, I am not having much luck with one ancestor. My great-grandfather, John Pull, born in Norfolk, England, appears on the 1901 Scarborough, England census, and shortly afterwards migrated to East Bay, Manitoba (an area on the east side of Lake Dauphin---I found it on a 1928 map). I found the following details of his death on the Manitoba Archives: Name: John Pull Date of death: 04/09/1909 Age: 83 years Sex: Male Place of death: Ochre River, Manitoba Registration Number: 1909,0044664 However, I have not been able to find any information about his place of burial. I presume that it is in the same area....East Bay, Ste Rose du Lac (where his step-daughter was living), or Ochre River. I know that some cemeteries in the area have been transcribed, but I have no idea what cemetery he is buried in. I would be happy to buy a transcription if only I knew what cemetery. Is there some kind soul who might have access to cemetery records in the area and would be willing to do a look up for me? I would appreciate any help that you might be able to give me. Many thanks, Don McAmmond in sunny Seattle, Washington donmcammond@aol.com
