Hi Sharon, Intesrting Think I was looking for LaLonde for my wife's Sharons nephew whose married a girl by that name with native American background who was trying to find out more on her family, I'll have to find her email and sent it to you. However I woul;d be related rather distantly to your husband than, as my 5th great grandparents on mothers side were Edward Allen and Mercy Painter thur there daughter Martha who married Samuel Bardwell. I would assume that Martha Allen was the older sister of Sarah C. Breakfast at McDonald's This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!): I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.' The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally. Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son. We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved. As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling'. His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance. He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching. The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation. I held my tears as I stood there with them. The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, 'Coffee is all Miss' because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm). Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action. I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.' I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope.' I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope.' We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give. We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love. I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?' I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class. She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed. In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son, instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student. I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn: UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE. Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE. There is an Angel sent to watch over you. In order for her to work, you must pass this on to the people you want watched over. An Angel wrote: Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. To handle yourself, use your head. To handle others, use your heart. God Gives every bird it's food, but He does not throw it into its nest. Send it back, you'll see why ! A Box of gold *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* With a secret inside that has never been told *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* This box is priceless but as I see *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The treasure inside is precious to me *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Today I share this treasure with thee *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* It's the treasure of friendship you've given me. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* If this comes back to you then you'll have a friend for life but, if this becomes deleted, you are not a friend. Send this to everyone you consider a friend! This is a magic frog. It will grant you one wish and only one wish, that is, if you decide to send this to others. You can wish for anything. Repeat your wish until you have stopped scrolling. Make it count!!!!!! FOR YOUR WISH TO COME TRUE YOU HAVE TO SEND IT TO: 3 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE EVENTUALLY 5 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE IN 3 MONTHS 10 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE IN 5 WEEKS 15 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE IN 1 WEEK CAN'T WAIT A WEEK??? 22 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE IN 1 DAY!!!!! ****** **********REMEMBER************** THIS MUST BE SENT OUT THE DAY YOU READ IT FOR YOU TO GET YOUR WISH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! 1. Re: [DEERFIELD-1704] Deerfield Descendant
    2. Good Morning Thanks for responding so quickly. I do not see any family names in your line that correspond to my other family lines. My main lines are Decarie, Ouellet, Jerome and Gallant. My mother's side are Ouellet and Gallant. She was born in New Brunswick and her father was born in PEI. Her mother was a Ouellet that started in the Isle of Orleans outside of Quebec and moved to New Brunswick. My father's family is Decarie and Jerome. His father was born in Montreal and all of his ancestors are from there. His mother was born in Agawam, Ma. but her parents came from the Chambly area, south of Montreal. I have been able to trace back the families to France except for the Jeromes. I can only go back to my great grandfather. Beyond that, I have no trace. My first language was French as we lived with my grandparents the first 4 years of my life and French was spoken most of the time. I can understand most , read somewhat but can write little. It helps out with my research. I only found out about Sarah a few years back and have yet to visit Deerfield. I had driven thru the village but never stopped. It has been restored by a very wealthy couple. I now have the incentive to see it. I do not have her birth certificate as I have yet to trace it down. (I have been too busy with my brick wall - Jerome.) It will be something to do. Have you been able to fill out all of your family trees? If not, Let me know what you need and I will see what I can find. I have been doing this since I retired some 15 years ago. I have been to Canada and done research numerous times. Have a good one. Although we have never been to Deerfiled (we now plan to visit it soon) we have often been through Massachusetts and into Connecticut where I have quite a few 'roots', and our daughter-in-law also has some, and I also have some in Rhode Island. >From Guillaume Lalonde and Marie Madeleine (Sarah) Allen my husband's line is - son Louis married Louise-Genevieve Picard, thier son Jean-Louis married Marie-Clemence Raymond, their son Paul married Josephte Rose Legros, their daughter M Rose married Francois Garand, their son Joseph married Hermine Fontaine, their son Joseph married Anathalie Greffe, their daughter Laurea married Armand Cadieux, their son Roddy married Shirley Dafoe, their son Rene married Sharon. My husband was born in Cornwall, Ontario, but has lived his whole life in Kingston, and speaks no French. Have you found a birth or baptism record for Sarah Allen? 2. Hi-, I supposedly am related to Sarah Allen also if I have my ancestors straight. Guillaume Lalonde married Sarah Allen (Marie Madeleine). Their son Andre married Josephte Dielle. Their son Joseph Andre married Catherine Lefefrve. Their son Jean Baptiste married Angelique Queenville. Their son Joseph married Angelique Renaud. Their daughter Odile married my great grandfather Jean Baptiste Decarie. I assume that this makes us related but to what degree, I am not sure. Strangely enough, my great grandfather Jean Baptiste Decarie left Montreal around 1880 and settled in Agawam, Ma. This is only 20 + miles from Deerfield where Sarah Allen left some 180 years before. I myself, reside in Pittsfield, Ma. which is about 50 miles from Deerfield. Could you tell me where you reside and your husband's lineage. We are probably related in some degree in other lines. Have a great day. Clyde Decorie ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    3. Hi Sharon, My spouse's son (Vincent Lapare) is married to Nancy de Bellefeuille which descent from Albert Lalonde married to Marie- Angelique Maupetit dit Poitevin. 2 of their sons (Etienne married to Charlotte Levaque dit Bapome) and (Joseph married to Angelique Seguin) are merging to the Leroux family to provide this little adorable thing named Cassandra Lapare, 4 years old. Just to add to this Allen line (Allen, Kimball, Scott, Howard, Carey), it could go up to an illegitimate son (Henry Carey) of Henry VIII and Mary Boleyn (Sister to Anne Boleyn). This line was not proved but many hold to it. Have a good week-end.
