Hello List I've recently begun to wonder how Births were registered in BC in the 1920s. More specifically, who registered them and how do we know the information was accurate? I have a copy of a Certificate of Birth issued in 1937 for a relative saying he was born in 1923. The birth was registered 14 days after the birth and the information was provided by the father. Was this the standard way to have registered a birth if it didn't happen in a hospital? Could not the father have provided any information he wanted to? Sorry if this question sounds a little vague but the outcome could be a bit of a surprise to relatives. Grant -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
