Hi Debbie, I monitor these lists in case there are any requests for books that my company can provide as copies on CD. I was therefor interested in your request, and went looking for the book. I couldn't find anything anywhere with the exact title you gave. The closest I could find was "Strathcona County: A Brief History" and I only found that in the Library of Canada. From it's scarcity I'd say it was quite a rare book. If this is the book though, I think you may be making your request on the wrong list. I'm not an expert on the geography of Western Canada but from what I saw while searching the "Strathcona" of BC is a suburb of Vancouver and a Provincial Park on Vancouver Island (and a school?). I had a look in our publication of "Sunset Canada," which is a turn of the century description of the delights of BC, and it looked as if the area that is now Strathcona Park was virtually unoccupied at the time it was declared a park. The Strathcona County the book referred to, and I think the one you are looking for, seemed to be in Alberta. You might have more luck on the Alberta list.
