Hi to all: Is there some way I could find out when my G.M. purchased land in Burnaby, B.C. around the 1905 time. Some one told me that these records were destroyed several years ago, is this right? I do not know the number of the land but we know which roads bordered it. Thanks for any information. To those wanting Cemetery's in Manitoba the Manitoba Genealogy Society web site is as follows: www.mts.net/~mgsi it has the number of graves and costs for printout. Hello Everyone, Have you checked with the local historical society and see what they know. They might have the info you are looking for or if the city of Burnaby has an archives they might have that info. If they don't you should be able to find the info you are looking for at LAND TITLES. You will need the legal description of the land and I don't know the fees charged. For the legal description I would check with city hall or equivalant or if you know a realtor I would ask them. With Land Titles I would go there in person hopefully at a time when it is not busy and explain carefully what you want. You will probably confuse them, that is why I say try to go when it is not busy.
